After what seemed like days of travel we arrived to a warm reception from Katie & Matt. We caught our Sunset atop a hotel's SkyBar overlooking the Awaddy River. It was pretty awesome to say the least.
We ate, drank, and were merry then headed to a Marionette show. Apparently it is a huge historical storytelling and entertainment traditional in Myanmar which is slowly dying out.
We all slept pretty hard that night and awoke at 4 to catch our ride to the river for Sunrise. This sunrise was one of THEE (yes worthy of double-e's) greatest Sunrises I have ever experienced.
To say I was happy with the light, the people, the story would be the biggest understatement in the history of understatements. There was almost TOO much to shoot and a tad bit overwhelming. Definitely a wow-yourself kind of day as a photographer. Having keepers is one thing, but when you are physically and emotionally moved by your own photos you know you truly have something special. This was one of those images.
